Tyler and I met in high school our sophomore year in 2015. We started dating when we were seniors. I met him when I walked by a classroom and he caught my eye. After I saw him, I began to walk back to that classroom and started looking around for him. He noticed me, and we started talking. I was thinking wow look at this cute guy!! Everyday after that he began walking me to my bus. Tyler wanted to help me remember our going together date. He knew my birthday was on February 4th, so he waited until midnight on June the 4th and asked me to be his girlfriend to help me remember the date. Of course, I said YES!! From there on out it was history! We have done so many fun things together as we began our relationship and getting to know one another. Family events, church, camping, hiking, date nights, boating and so many other things that have shown us God's hand in our lives. He definitely brought us together and we are so happy for that. I'm so thankful for praying parents that prayed for a Godly spouse for me. God is so good.
Fast forward to New Years Eve 2023. Tyler came over for our New Years party. We were getting ready for the party. Dad was working in the basement and Tyler went downstairs to talk to him. I don't know exactly what was said, but he asked my Dad if he could marry me. Dad of course said yes. They then called my Mom down, told her and showed her the ring. She cried, hugged Tyler and told him she was so happy!
On January 7th, Tyler came over. He told Mom and Dad he wanted to propose in front of the fireplace where we had taken all our school dance pictures. Mom lit the fireplace, and Tyler stood in front of it waiting for me to come downstairs. When I came downstairs, I walked over to Tyler standing in front of the fireplace. He got down on one knee and proposed to me. I was so surprised and nervous. My heart was beating so fast, and I said yes! I was very excited, and it was the happiest day of my life! We are so grateful and looking forward to the next chapter of our lives together.
